Who we are

This website is operated by EK Restoration Ltd ("EK Restoration", "we", "us"), a contractor providing concrete, brick work, interior demolition and basement waterproofing services in Toronto, North York and the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to respond to you and provide an estimate or service:

• Information you give us: your name, phone number, email address, project address or city, the service you need, your project details, and any photos you send.
• Text message consent records: if you use our estimate form, we record whether you checked the optional SMS consent box, the date and time you submitted the form, the version of the consent wording shown to you, the page you submitted from, and the IP address and browser details used at that time. We keep this so we can show that you agreed.
• Text message records: the messages we exchange with you, and any request to stop receiving texts.
• Basic technical information: our hosting provider may log standard data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and reliability.

We do not collect payment card details through this website.

How we use your information

• To respond to your estimate request by phone, text message or email.
• To schedule inspections and visits, and to follow up on estimates you asked for.
• To deliver and manage the work you hire us for.
• To keep this website secure and working properly, and to meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

Text messages (SMS)

Program. EK Restoration Ltd offers an optional text messaging program for people who request an estimate. If you check the SMS consent box on our estimate form, we may send automated text messages to the phone number you provided about your estimate request, appointments, and project updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Consent is optional. The SMS consent box is separate from the form's submit button and is unchecked by default. You can request an estimate without checking it, and consent is not a condition of receiving an estimate or buying anything from us. If you do not check the box, we will not send you text messages and will contact you by phone or email instead.

How to opt out. Reply STOP to any text message at any time to unsubscribe. We will send one confirmation message and then stop texting that number. You may also tell us by calling (647) 447-1224 or through our contact page. If you opt out and later want texts again, submit a new request and check the box.

Help and support. Reply HELP to any text message for assistance, or call EK Restoration Ltd at (647) 447-1224 or use our contact page.

No sale or sharing for marketing. We do not sell, rent or share your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in information or text message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties for those purposes under any circumstances.

Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers that help us run this website and our text messaging, and only as needed for them to provide those services to us:

• Cloudflare hosts this website, processes your form submission, and stores the information you submit, including your consent record, in its database service.
• Twilio is the messaging platform we use to send and receive text messages and to process STOP and HELP requests. Your phone number and the message content pass through Twilio and the wireless carriers that deliver your messages.

These providers process your information on our behalf to deliver their services. We do not allow them to use your phone number or consent information for their own marketing. This is separate from the commitment above: we do not sell or share SMS opt-in information or consent with third parties for their marketing purposes.

We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights, safety or property. Some of our providers store or process data outside Canada, including in the United States, so your information may be subject to the laws of those places.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as needed to handle your request, complete and support our work, and meet tax, warranty and legal requirements. We keep text message consent records for as long as we may text you and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can show that you agreed or opted out, as the law requires. After that, we delete the information or make it anonymous.

Cookies

This website does not currently use advertising or tracking cookies. If we add analytics or advertising tools in the future, we will update this policy.

Your choices and rights

You may ask us to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you may withdraw your consent to texts or emails at any time. To do so, call (647) 447-1224 or use our contact page. We may need to confirm your identity first. Withdrawing consent may limit our ability to respond to your request.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your information, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).

Children

This website is for adults seeking contracting services. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
